New House Builds and Additions

Complete electrical design and installation for new construction and home additions. Code-compliant wiring, panel sizing, and permit coordination from foundation to final inspection.

Electrical for New Builds and Additions

When you're building new or adding on, the electrical work has to be right the first time. We handle complete electrical installations for new residential construction and additions throughout New Jersey—from load calculations and service sizing to rough-in, trim-out, and final inspections.

Every project starts with proper planning. We review your plans, confirm panel capacity, coordinate fixture and outlet locations, and pull all necessary permits. Our installations meet NJ building code and NEC standards, so you pass inspection without callbacks or delays.

What We Install

  • Service panels and meter bases sized for current and future loads
  • Branch circuit wiring for outlets, lighting, appliances, and HVAC
  • Kitchen and bath circuits including GFCI and dedicated appliance lines
  • Outdoor wiring for exterior lighting, outlets, and landscape power
  • Garage and workshop circuits with proper amperage for tools and EV charging prep
  • Smoke and CO detectors hardwired and interconnected per code
  • Whole-home surge protection at the panel
  • Smart home pre-wiring for automation, security, and networking

Coordination with Your Build

We work directly with builders, GCs, and homeowners to keep electrical on schedule. Rough-in happens after framing and before insulation. Trim-out follows drywall. We coordinate inspections at each stage so the project doesn't stall.

If you're adding a second story, in-law suite, or garage, we'll assess whether your existing service can handle the load or if an upgrade is needed. Load calculations are included—no guesswork.

Code Compliance and Permits

All work is permitted and inspected. We handle the paperwork, schedule inspections, and make any corrections required by the local building department. You get a signed-off electrical system that's safe and insurable.

How it works
01

Plan Review and Load Calculation

We review your building plans, calculate electrical loads, and determine the right service size and panel configuration for your project.

02

Permit and Material Coordination

We pull permits, order materials, and coordinate rough-in timing with your builder or GC.

03

Rough-In Installation

After framing, we install all wiring, boxes, and panels. The rough-in is inspected before insulation and drywall go up.

04

Trim-Out and Devices

Once drywall is finished, we install outlets, switches, fixtures, and cover plates. The panel is labeled and prepped for final inspection.

05

Final Inspection and Energization

We coordinate the final electrical inspection, address any notes, and work with the utility to energize your new service.

Common questions
Do I need to upgrade my main service for an addition?+

It depends on the size of the addition and your current panel capacity. We perform a load calculation to determine if your existing service can handle the additional circuits or if an upgrade is required. Many additions can be served from the existing panel if there's room and capacity.

When does the electrical rough-in happen?+

Rough-in is scheduled after framing is complete and before insulation and drywall. We coordinate timing with your builder to keep the project on track and ensure the rough-in inspection happens on schedule.

Can you pre-wire for future upgrades like EV charging or solar?+

Yes. We can install conduit, extra circuits, or panel capacity during construction to make future upgrades easier and less expensive. Let us know your plans upfront so we can build it in from the start.
